People vote for a particular candidate or issue on the ballot for different reasons. Sometimes they just "like the guy" (or woman) they are voting for. Other times it is because they like the economic policies of a particular candidate. While all things should be taken into consideration when deciding whom to vote for, many "Values Voters" believe that family values are the highest priority when choosing a candidate. Values Voters ask questions like "Where does he or she stand on the issues that affect me and my family?" "Does the candidate support abortion?" "Do they want to take God out of our public schools so that our children are taught only a secular humanistic worldview?"

If you are a Values Voter, it does not mean that economic issues do not matter to you, but rather that you have values that are important to you, and when you vote you are voting both with your head and with your heart. "Vote Your Heart - Change Your World!"
