Liberty Pundits Morning News, Wed., June 16, 2010

First headline – Monkeys like watching television. Do you actually have to read the article? Go for it.  No, btw, I did not watch Obama’s speech.  Got my fill of fiction earlier in the day.  Speaking of which …
Obama’s Speech Reviews:  He’s off Broadway. It’s not that I am sitting here rooting for or against the man, I just want the games to stop.  I want leadership.  I want an end to the cute manipulation of words.  I’d prefer Forrest Gump in office – at least what you get is what you see.
Obama made a mistake last night similar to a mistake he made at the 2010 Presser (good name since he has about one a year).  At the presser he had teleprompters and looked uneasy.  Last night, he had so much hand movement some folks wondered if he was simultaneously interpreting his speech for the hearing impaired.
The problem is that these are high-risk environments – pressers, non-podium speeches – and his natural environment is a stage.  So his handlers minimize his exposure to them.  Yes, it is that bad.
If you want reviews, go to the libtards:  Howard Fineman (“Obama … was unable to approach let alone match the specificity, combativeness and passion of Franklin Roosevelt.”) and MSBNC (Olbermann: “It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days.”)  If you lose these guys to this depth, then it’s over.
Watching Obama is turning into a Rocky movie marathon, only without the sympathetic lead character or dramatic comebacks.
Here’s a little more insight into the supposed regulations for health care. We got a rash of stories the other day, but no proposed regs, no detailed analyses.  Turns out it was an 80-some page doc of draft regs the White House leaked.  Who knows why these fools leaked their own doc.  Turns out that “keeping your policy” is no longer on the table.  Best of luck with that, Barry.  Thanks for the campaign commerical.
I am laughing so much at this:  It seems that soccer opinions abound. I had my own lightening rod here.  Now this woman speaks up:  But let me say at the outset: I hate soccer. I not only do not desire to watch it, I wish that all soccer fields in my town would be re-purposed as dog-walking facilities or, better yet, returned to their former baseball diamond beauty. And apparently she both played soccer and dated for four years some Italian on a soccer team, watching his games every Sunday.  Ayep, soccer sucks.  Maybe I’ll make a bumper sticker out of that … Soccer Sucks.  Awesome.
Drudge has the Rasmussen presidential numbers early – UGLY. This link will get you there – they use the same URL day to day; release time about 930AM.
Obama Approval Falls to New Low: 42%
Obama Approval Index: -20
Strongly Approve 24%
Strongly Disapprove 44%
Total Approval 42%

More people strongly disapprove than approve in any manner?  Add to this the bad speech.  Yeow.  He better start updating his resume.  Maybe the Arab League needs a Grand Pubah or something.  Maybe it comes with a furry hat.  Good gig if you can get it.
Pawlenty is playing the Iowa and NH game.  He’s clearly a 2012 POTUS entrant. I’ve been dismissed with a hand wave and pfft when I’ve said to my blogging brothers and sisters that Pawlenty is going to be a contender, that he is the chord America wants played.  Watch him.  He needs something more than Calm and Assured and Folksy.  We need Competency and In Charge, agreed.  But watch him.
Back to polls, this explains a few things: Obama’s approval is over 50% ONLY with those making $24K a year or less. Read it – Gallup.  Those with their hands out know who’s passing out the money.
