  • In the comments to my previous post on Cash for Clunkers, commenter 'GarandFan' had this to say:

  • One of the defining features of the Obama administration so far is its almost pathological inability to make hard choices--or even to acknowledge that hard choices need to be made. A prime example is the administration's insistence that making energy more expensive will somehow benefit our economy. This proposition is so foolish as to be almost self-refuting: in my view, anyone who doesn't understand that you can't create wealth by subsidizing the inefficient production of energy shouldn't be voting.

  • Two court recent court rulings have resulted in the Moonbat Messiah "voluntarily" disclosing his White House visitor's list. Stanley McCrystal — commander of our forsaken troops in Afghanistan — has met with Obamao twice. In stark contrast, Andy Stern — head of the ACORN-affiliated SEIU — has visited the White House 22 times, leading the list.

  • That's what the headline would read if McChrystal had been the Commander in Charge of Afghanistan operations under George W. Bush, and was on the record saying things like this: McChrystal, the article reports, took control of the war, the article states, "by never taking his eye off the real enemy: The wimps in the White House."

  • Obama supporters in Alexandria, Virginia suddenly don't think closing Gitmo is such a great ideaPhoto credit - Salvis Are

Rich, thick irony. Normal people think it's a good idea to keep terrorists on a faraway island, in a prison controlled by the United States military. Liberals disagree, for no readily apparent reason, and want Gitmo closed. So President Obama says he will close it next year.

  • House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank is taking his TARP mandate and the Obama Corporate Management Strategy to the next logical step by proposing legislation that would heavily regulate the pay received by employees of companies that have received federal assistance.

  • With the Obama Administration and Democrat leaders in both houses of the US Congress desperately pushing a major overhaul — many say government takeover — of US health care, a report obtained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police’s Fraud & White Collar Crime Committee sheds light on the fraud and corruption already existing [...]

  • Good for Jake Desantis. The AIG executive resigned and wrote this letter to his boss Ed Liddy. The entire letter is a very well written and devastating critique of the mob mentality that consumed Congress last week.

Some key points of the resignation letter are:

  • Just when you were probably convinced that liberal Democrats didn’t believe in property rights, President Obama demonstrates that they do. The catch is that from his perspective, the property is you. Using his party’s recently passed health care reform as justification, Obama all but declared total war on the American individual in an executive order he [...]

  • All the poll-tracking is over. All the speculation about the meaning of the 2008 election is over. All the wondering about the vitality of the Obama magic is over. Elections have a nice way of clearing the air of prognostications and predictions. We have results. We have actual votes, not polls of possible voters. And the lesson this year is very simple.

Independent voters utterly loathe the Democrats.

There really is no other way to spin it.
