Well, the amazingly-entertaining race for New York's 23rd Congressional District ends today, and it has brought out some truly enlightening facts. The most important one, to me, is how the two major parties deal with apostates.
In a move so lowly as to be completely expected, that still RINO but now former New York 23rd Congressional candidate Dede Scozzafava has endorsed Democrat candidate Bill Owens instead of Conservative party challenger Doug Hoffman in the upcoming election, trying desperately to toss her whopping 20% of support the way of Hope and Change.
My friend Jon Lerner has been doing the polling for the Club for Growth in the New York 23rd Congressional District special election. The Club for Growth is one of Doug Hoffman's major supporters in the race. I passed on Jon's analysis of the state of play last week in "Scozzafava sinking, Hoffman rising, Newt erring." Jon now writes to update us on the race in the light of Dede Scozzafava's suspension of her campaign yesterday:
Vindicating all who criticized her as an unsuitable Republican nominee, Dede Scozzafava, having suspended her fading campaign yesterday, endorsed Democrat Bill Owens today.
