Eleven American warships and one Israeli vessel reportedly have passed through the Suez Canal on their way to the eastern Mediterranean:

International agreements require Egypt to keep the Suez open even for warships, but the armada, led by the USS Truman with 5,000 sailors and marines, was the largest in years. Egypt closed the canal to fishing and other boats as the armada moved through the strategic passageway that connects the Red and Mediterranean Seas.

Some people don’t get why we support Israel. Let me explain

An article title caught my attention: ”Why the Hell are we allied with Israel? The Sequel.” Although the article is only a few hours old as I write, it still describes the Gaza Blockade Run as a crime by Israel, a conclusion that is ill-informed and uninformed. But the title was cute, so I’ll take the bait and explain.

US House votes 344-36 to condemn Goldstone Report as biased

The US House acted decisively to support the Israel. It also called out the UN as biased. Pretty strong language, and the overwhelming majority sends a rather direct message to Obama and his anti-Israel advisers.
