Of course, this will be blamed on the Republicans.  But let’s review the numbers. Dems in Senate:  57 Indies with dems: 2 Pubs in Senate: 41 Final vote:  45-53 In order to get to 45 voting for it, the dems have to lose a dozen of their kin.  Tain’t no way this is a pub thing.  The dems lost it all by their lonesome.

An article title caught my attention:  ”Why the Hell are we allied with Israel? The Sequel.”  Although the article is only a few hours old as I write, it still describes the Gaza Blockade Run as a crime by Israel, a conclusion that is ill-informed and uninformed.  But the title was cute, so I’ll take the bait and explain.

According to Steven F. Hayward, author of the book The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counter-Revolution, 1980-1989, here's why Ronald Reagan would likely have voted for Sarah Palin:

A taste of the RNC logic:

National Republican Party fundraisers aren't putting much stock in Joe Walsh's campaign to unseat incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean in the suburban 8th District [Illinois], a spokesman said Thursday. ... "We're really focused on the seats where we see the clearest paths to victory," [National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Tom] Erickson said.

Be forewarned: this pack of lies from President Obama and his White House Perpetual Campaign Ministry might actually make blood spurt out of your eyes.

So, mindless Obot volunteers of have pledged over 9 million hours to Dear Leader in order to help elect him and to try and help ram his socialist, anti-American agenda sown our throats. Thank goodness that a the latter has been somewhat foiled for now -- all because of men and women like you, gentle reader.

Having found it difficult to continue blaming former President George W. Bush for everything wrong with their lives, and being unwilling to attempt the growth necessary for personal accountability, the Aluminati have recently taken to imagining that the end of the world is near.

There are a lot of annoying people on the planet. Almost everyone is annoying to some degree, and at some time or another. But there are some people who go well over the boundaries of acceptable annoyance, and provoke rebellion. Not to trivialize History, but look at the American Revolution. While events went out of control and led to armed insurrection, they started - well, for lack of a better word, as annoying. Taxes that applied only to the colonies. Rules from London that Parliament and the Crown never planned to discuss, let alone apply to themselves.

This is excellent. Obama isn't going to get his dog and pony show at the GOP's expense. Start over or take a walk.

Mr. Emanuel:

We welcome President Obama’s announcement of forthcoming bipartisan health care talks. In fact, you may remember that last May, Republicans asked President Obama to hold bipartisan discussions on health care in an attempt to find common ground on health care, but he declined and instead chose to work with only Democrats.

All the poll-tracking is over. All the speculation about the meaning of the 2008 election is over. All the wondering about the vitality of the Obama magic is over. Elections have a nice way of clearing the air of prognostications and predictions. We have results. We have actual votes, not polls of possible voters. And the lesson this year is very simple.

Independent voters utterly loathe the Democrats.

There really is no other way to spin it.

The news for Republicans and conservatives was pretty good with most of the elections yesterday with a landslide for the Virginia GOP and a great win in New Jersey. Conservatives and Republicans did well in other parts of the country, too. One of those other areas was in Maine where the voters rejected a gay [...]

...Er, not really, but the headline sure grabbed you. We're not so ignorant here as to believe that these historic election losses for Pres. Obama and his Democrat minions will quell their thirst for power and perpetual need to oppress Americans rich and poor, young and old. But this is what one writer at CNSNews.com proclaimed:

Over at Hot Air, Ed Morrissey has a post about today's elections. Public Policy Polling is reporting that it will be the independent vote that carries the Republicans (and Hoffman) to victory today. From all the data, two stats are most telling: Hoffman leads Owens 52-30 with independents.

Christie leads [Corzine] 52-29 with independents. If you are itching for more data about the elections of interest today, follow the link for details.

It's no use wishing Ronaldus Maximus were around today, because if he were, the Republican Party would have no use for him — because he's too liberal. At least, that's the analysis moonbat drones are being fed by MSNBC. Take it away, Lawrence O'Donnell:

Well, the amazingly-entertaining race for New York's 23rd Congressional District ends today, and it has brought out some truly enlightening facts. The most important one, to me, is how the two major parties deal with apostates.

Those in the media are spinning hard in anticipation of Republican wins in some key races today. Many news reports will try to lead you to believe the outcome at the polls should be ignored and the focus should be on Republican divisiveness or that any Republican wins are outliers, with absolutely no significance or relation to the mood of the country as a whole. Don't believe it.

The fix is in to save New Jersey's failed governor, the Goldman Sucks alumnus Jon Corzine. In case Comrade Obama rallying his crack-addled base in the slums of Newark and Camden doesn't do the trick, ACORN has been called into action. Big Government reports:

The New York Times report that social conservatives are talking of bolting to a third-party candidate, should Rudy Giuliani get the GOP nomination, is another sign of the disintegrating Reagan coalition.
